This open exhibition seeks to look into practices that are diverse, bringing together individuals who utilise photography as a form of visual research complementing their given disciplines (in architecture, natural sciences, social sciences etc.), as well as those who harness photography as a form of artistic research. We welcome a diverse set of approaches or intents under which such photography is undertaken, with categories ranging across the taxonomic, indexical, archival, documentative, reportage, journalistic, and/or artistic. By introducing the ‘journal’ as a final mode of presentation, we seek submissions that can be positioned within a body of photographic works that when displayed as a series, provide insights into a sustained line of inquiry or research. Video works are also welcome.
