It’s time to “leave the nest” as they say, for education, independence, for my career. But why is it, that each place I go, it doesn’t truly feel like home?

Follow 3 international students into their home away from home, experiencing their world through their own words and reflections. Their reflections are all sparked by an object which holds stories inspired by the people who love them from afar: a piece of home, right where they are.

“A Piece of Home” explores how one feels connected to home as their relationship with their spaces of living, family and friends change as they grow older and live away from home.
