EMCC | CHEC 2023

The Combined Hall Ensemble Concert (CHEC) is an annual performance organised by Raffles Hall Cultural Committee, where Raffles Hall’s very own ensemble, RHebels, and other ensembles from the rest of the Halls of NUS (HONUS) come together for a 2-hour concert. The participating NUS halls include Sheares Hall, Temasek Hall, Eusoff Hall and King Edward VII Hall.

This year, the theme is Reminiscence. It traverses through the various genres and media forms from timeless classics to modern popular tunes. Before the intermission, we start off with smaller ensemble groups featuring Temasek Hall, Sheares Hall and Eusoff Hall. Here, we feature pieces from the likes of Pokemon, Shrek and Michael Jackson. After the intermission, we start to perform larger ensembles including King Edward VII Hall and Raffles Hall. Here, we showcase pieces from Disney and Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody. Lastly, we will end the concert with the long-awaited combined item involving members from all HONUS, featuring tunes from Undertale and Studio Ghibli!

CHEC 2023 is presented by NUS Centre for the Arts, as part of ExxonMobil Campus Concert (EMCC): Portals and Passageways.
