FOR MUSIC LOVERS: Join us for a night of diverse music selections featuring genres like math rock, blues, and soul. As a collaboration between EMCC Crew and NUS CAC Amplified, this concert is the culmination of a six-month long backstage production training period for new EMCC Crew members now taking the reins of a full show.
NUS CAC Amplified is the premier live music sub-club under NUS Cultural Activities Club. We give aspiring musicians the opportunity to perform in a band. We don’t claim to play a specific genre because our musicians are versatile and our interests extremely diverse. There are opportunities for both internal and external performances where anything goes! Our four bands featured in this concert are:
The Seizures: Taking inspiration from rock artists like The Strokes and Arctic Monkeys, The Seizures specializes in garage rock.
Mixed Nuts: Mixed Nuts performs Japanese songs. They are actually a combination of 2 Amplified bands (527 and Soggy Jeans) as some members from each band are on exchange, and the remaining members combined as they share the same love for Japanese music.
Treats for Sugar: Treats for Sugar performs a mix of blues and soul.
Rathmock: Rathmock plays a unique genre of music called math rock. rathmock is a three piece band that plays everything from instrumental to experimental music. rathmock is called rathmock because we want to play mathrock. rathmock likes to play in odd time signatures and keys. rathmock likes to make music fun and make fun music.
