Fuse(d): Contemporary Dance X Culture by NUS Dance Synergy

NUS Dance Synergy’s annual show, Fuse(d): Contemporary Dance x Culture seeks to further question the patterns in our cultural landscape spanning from internet habits to human compatibility and everyday social interaction. Our quest to “fit in” encompasses the need to belong, forming identities influenced by foreign and familiar entities – forging a way of life that intersects with questionable ideals and societal norms.

Led by our Artistic Director Yarra Ileto (pioneer member of T.H.E. Dance Company, Young Artist Award 2017), together with works from emerging artists Hana Yeo (Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts), Shania Regina (LASALLE College of the Arts) and student choreographer (43rd Batch) Liew Chenkai, Fuse(d): Contemporary Dance x Culture invites the audience to explore the characteristics and behaviours of various lifestyles, values and beliefs – that become the physical embodiment of how we live and interact.
