In Touch With is a series of pilot programmes by the NUS Museum to encourage connections between art and mental wellness. With guided explorations of our exhibitions and works, participants are offered opportunities to engage in reflection and relaxation, weaving through mingled textures of painting, sculpture, emotions, and embodiment. In this reading week special, we invite mindfulness instructor, Ayyappan Madhumitha (Yale-NUS, Class of 2023) to guide participants in mindfulness exercises by means of encountering the works of Ng Eng Teng that often manifest the human body and emotion. Introducing elements of tactility and slow art, participants will learn how to engage their senses and be fully present to the art and gallery space around them.

Each session has limited capacity in order to facilitate a productive session. You will be put on a waitlist once maximum capacity has been reached, and the team will contact you once a slot opens up.

This programme is organised in collaboration with Yale-NUS College.
