NUS Museum launches prep-room Open, a programme that rewards a proposal from the NUS community that considers research projects and practices alongside curatorial methods of display, visual pedagogy and interdisciplinary dialogues. The application period from here on to 16 July 2022 invites proposals inclined towards interdisciplinary work, research-based creative processes or display-oriented iterations of studies.
Proposals should possess an interest in displaying iterations of their research stages, aligning these presentations as visual milestones to their ongoing studies. Groupings in research clusters, students with creative investigations and shared studies as well as NUS alumni are welcome to apply. A commitment to fulfil a series of displays in the assigned gallery in NUS Museum through discussions with the Museum team, production of display components and fair presence in tours and public programming is preferred. These are achieved through bi-weekly engagements that take the form of curatorial meetings, project management sessions, museum tours and related events. Proposals with current grant support or ongoing grant application are also welcome in prep-room Open.
